- - - special note:
if the name Cheri Aldrich sounds familiar - it should...
she's that talented lady that was on TV as a guest crafter on the
Carol Duvall SHOW... on that episode Cheri shared how she creates
unique items from driftwood and kelp that she gathers from the
shoreline - - - more:

Bead Classes - Lampwork - juried shows at the National Bead and Button Show - Jewelry Designer - Ally Ng - Unique Beading

Lou Ann Urness has moved her home-based Ceramic
Gardens business to a Downtown Racine store and
now rents space to other crafters and teaches
classes there... Some of the classes are beading,
sewing, stained glass, knitting, crocheting and
ceramics... I'd love to see what the store has
to offer... I hope the either get a website up
soon or put out a mini catalogue, brochure or
flyer... so that those of us that don't live
locally yet love to buy handmade gifts, will
also have a chance to purchase items by the
crafters she leases space to... - - - more

Sheryl Pettit and Bob of Kelso teach classes that
include all supplies for lampworking and glass blowing...
classes are quite informative and done on a one-on-one
basis... She has a vast collection of glass beads...
her current favorites are what are known as "patchwork
dichroic" - which are either black or clear glass shot
with chemicals which then form a multi-shade and
multi-shape metallic layer on their side... Sheryl's
creations can be found at M&D Designs in Chinook and
at the Glass Lady in Longview. Her goal is for her work
to become good enough that it be juried into the
Tucson, Arizona - National Bead and Button Show... - - - more

Ally Ng a jewelry designer - creates some really
interesting pieces and is an avid bead collector...
she never knows when she'll need a certain type of
bead for her personal creations so she checks out
lots of sources for beads and buys whatever she
thinks she might need for a beading session so she
will have lots of variety in beading supplies
- ready and at her fingertips - when she feels a
creative mood come on...She's created a buzz by
stringing stones, buffed pieces of petrified wood,
shells, garnets, mother-of-pearl, onyx and Thai
silver beads along with other unique beading
supplies and creating earrings, bracelets and
necklaces... One darling piece in particular was
a miniature silk pillow shaped turquoise lacquerware
bead... can you imagine that ??
